American Standard Flange Y-type Filter

Working Principle

Shenchi factory's integrated American Standard Flange Y-type Filter works on the principle of filter screen interception. The medium enters the housing from the inlet end and flows through the filter screen inside the Y-shaped structure. Solid impurities are blocked inside the filter screen, while clean medium passes through and exits from the outlet end. The total area of the filter screen is 3-4 times the cross-sectional area of the pipe, resulting in low resistance and fast flow. For draining, unscrew the bottom plug or remove the flange cover, take out the filter screen, clean it, and then reinstall it. The main body is made of WCB, SUS304 (CF8), or SUS316L (CF3M) materials, using an integrated casting process, resulting in a seamless housing and reliable pressure resistance. When installing Shenchi American Standard Flange Y-type Filters, pay attention to three key points: First, confirm the flow direction. The arrow on the valve body should be aligned with the medium flow direction, and the filter screen should be installed facing downwards to facilitate impurity settling. Second, ensure flange alignment and tightening. The flange faces should be parallel and concentric, the gasket centered, and the bolts tightened diagonally in stages to avoid shell deformation. Third, provide pipeline support and pre-filter protection. The filter must not bear the weight of the pipeline; the pipeline must be purged before installation to remove large particles. Shenchi provides detailed installation instructions, supports ODM/OEM customization, and the filter mesh size can be adjusted as needed to ensure long-term stable operation of the filter.

Effectively filtered substances

Shenchi ASME standard flange Y-type filters primarily filter solid suspended matter in pipeline media. This includes: welding slag, iron filings, and rust residue from pipeline welding; sand, soil, hemp fibers, and sealant residue left over from construction; particulate matter, crystals, and sediments carried by the media itself; rust scale and scale fragments from the aging and peeling inner wall of the pipeline; and metal shavings and other impurities in lubricating oil. Filtration precision is selectable from 50-300 mesh, depending on the required cleanliness of the media. Made in China, ASME standard flange Y-type filters are made of WCB, SUS304, and SUS316L materials, offering corrosion resistance and adaptability to various media.

Substances Not Suitable for Filtration

Shenchi ASME B flange Y-type filters are not suitable for filtering the following substances: chemicals dissolved in the medium (such as salts in brine, acids and alkalis in solutions); oil-water emulsions; viscous pastes or colloids; fibrous soft impurities (which may penetrate or wrap around the filter screen); and gaseous contaminants in gaseous media.
