Working Principle

The working principle of the Shenchi factory's corrosion-resistant three-way flange ball valve is based on the L-shaped or T-shaped channels cut into the ball. The ball is placed in the center of the valve body and rotated by a handle. When the ball rotates, the channels align with or offset from different valve ports, realizing the switching, merging, or splitting of the medium flow direction.

L-shaped ball:

 Rotating 90° allows the medium to switch from the inlet to any outlet, suitable for reversing scenarios with one inlet and two outlets or two inlets and one outlet, such as alternately supplying liquid to two reactors.

T-shaped ball: 

Rotating 180° allows all three ports to be connected simultaneously or any two ports to be interconnected, suitable for mixing two media and then outputting (merging), or splitting one media into two outputs (splitting), such as in air conditioning hot and cold water mixing systems.

Compared to threaded connections, flange connections offer higher pressure resistance; the PN16 rating can stably withstand 1.6MPa pressure. Disassembly is convenient, facilitating regular pipeline inspection and maintenance. Reliable sealing is ensured; the flange gasket and bolts work together to eliminate the risk of leakage. Suitable for large-diameter pipelines; for diameters above DN50, where threaded connections are difficult, flanges are the standard choice. Installation Key Point 1:Flange Alignment

Flange Alignment When installing the Shenchi three-way flange ball valve, the flange faces must be aligned. The two flanges should be parallel and concentric, with the deviation not exceeding the allowable range of the flange gasket. Forcing bolt alignment will cause valve body deformation, affecting ball rotation and sealing performance. After alignment, the gasket should be placed in the center and must not be offset. A low-priced three-way flange ball valve does not equate to low quality; Shenchi products offer high precision and easier installation. Corrosion-resistant three-way flange ball valves have flange surface finishes that meet standards, ensuring more reliable sealing.

Installation Point Two: Bolt Tightening

Flange bolts must be tightened diagonally in stages. Apply torque gradually in 2-3 stages, following a 180° diagonal sequence. Do not tighten one side all at once, otherwise uneven pressure on the gasket will create leakage channels. Bolt torque must meet standard values; overtightening will damage the flange or bolts, while undertightening will result in insufficient sealing. Installation Point 3: Pipeline Support and Cleaning

Before installation, the inside of the pipeline must be cleaned to remove welding slag, iron filings, sand, and other impurities. Foreign objects entering the valve cavity can scratch the ball or seals, leading to leaks. The pipeline must be independently supported; the valve must not bear the weight of the pipeline. Large-diameter tee flange ball valves are heavy; pipeline subsidence can pull the flange off-center, damaging the seal. Corrosion-resistant tee flange ball valves are made of WCB, SUS304, or SUS316L materials, with a copper or stainless steel valve core. After completing the installation points, the handle should rotate freely without jamming; the valve is then ready for use.
