What are the advantages of steam flange ball valves?

PPL Sealing Temperature Range

Above this temperature, the seals maintain good mechanical strength and dimensional stability. When the temperature drops below -20℃, PPL material gradually loses its toughness, becoming brittle and hard, potentially leading to seal failure.

Regarding high-temperature resistance, PPL can withstand high-temperature environments of 260℃-300℃ for extended periods, performing particularly well under saturated steam conditions, without softening or deforming like ordinary PTFE. For scenarios requiring even lower operating temperatures, Shenchi offers an EPDM sealing version as an alternative; EPDM can withstand temperatures as low as -40℃. Applicable Media and Temperature Range

Regarding the selection of sealing materials: when equipped with PPL seals, the applicable temperature range is -20℃ to 260℃, with a maximum short-term withstand temperature of 300℃, making it the preferred solution for steam pipelines; when equipped with EPDM seals, the applicable temperature range is -40℃ to 120℃, making it more suitable for low-temperature environments, hot water systems, or low-pressure steam conditions.
